The physiotherapist will take a detailed history and then perform a thorough assessment. Based on the findings, they will create an appropriate rehabilitation plan for you personally. Treatment will begin on your first visit.
Yes, you can choose to attend any clinic you want. You should choose your physiotherapist based on their expertise, experience and reputation.
You do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist, however some insurance plans require one prior to reimbursement. You should check with the details of you individual plan.
In most cases, private health insurance will cover your treatment of physiotherapy. You must pay for your session following each session. A receipt will be issued. You will need to send the original receipts to your insurance company to be reimbursed.
We accept cash, Interac, Visa and Mastercard.
We ask that you bring your physiotherapy referral (provided to you by your doctor) if you have one and your list of medications. We also ask our clients to bring comfortable clothing that is appropriate for assessing the injury, such as shorts and a sleeveless top. If you forget to bring a change of clothes we have gowns and shorts at the clinic.
This is dependent on the time of day you can come. Daytime appointments are usually available within 2-3 days. Evening appointments after 4pm may take longer due to high demand. We will make every effort possible to accommodate urgent cases.
This depends on the type of injury and type of treatment you require, but expect to be in the clinic for approximately 60 to 90 minutes for the assessment and 30 to 45 minutes for the following treatments. Clients with complex issues are often in the clinic for longer.
This is highly variable. You may need one visit or you may need months of care. It depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, etc. You will be re-evaluated on a regular basis and we will give you as much information as possible on how to manage your injury / condition at home.
